Tonight, we shall be sharing the topic: The Peace of Christ.

Don’t be pulled in different directions or worried about a thing. Be saturated in prayer throughout each day, offering your faith-filled requests before God with overflowing gratitude. Tell him every detail of your life, then God’s wonderful peace that transcends human understanding will guard your heart and mind through Jesus Christ.

Keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honourable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind. And fasten your thoughts on every glorious work of God, praising him always.

[Philippians 4:6 – 8 TPT]

We live in a time where almost everything around us is trying to rob us of the peace we are meant to enjoy as children of God.

Everywhere we look, we either see or hear of one negative story or another, social media, the news, our environment…

The aim of all of these is simple, and it’s a very deliberate scheme of the enemy to rob us of our peace.

The devil knows that once he can take away the peace of any man or woman, he has gained full control over that person.

The mind that is not at peace becomes a tool and subject to a lot of manipulations.

“Don’t worry or surrender to your fear. For you’ve believed in God, now trust and believe in me also.

[John 14:1 TPT]

“I leave the gift of peace with you—my peace. Not the kind of fragile peace given by the world, but my perfect peace. Don’t yield to fear or be troubled in your hearts—instead, be courageous!

[John 14:27 TPT]

Jesus Christ in His Word said, “I leave the gift of peace with you – My Peace.”

What do you do when someone gives you a gift? You receive it!

If anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation! Old things have passed away, behold all things have become new.

What we do not behold, we do not receive!

Our salvation comes with a whole lot of gifts and one of such is the Gift of Peace…not just any kind of peace given by the world, which is usually short-lived, But the Peace of Christ.

The kind of Peace that surpasses all understanding!

Why don’t you embrace this precious gift of Peace today? The Peace of Christ over that situation that has been making you restless and causing sleepless nights?

Christ is the Prince of Peace and when the Prince of Peace steps into any raging storm He declares Peace be still.

I declare Peace over that issue that has been plaguing your mind right now!

I declare Peace over every stormy marriage or relationship!

I declare Peace over every struggle with depression!

Peace over your family!

Peace over any negative situation!

Peace over that doctors’ report that is making you fret and worry!

Peace be still.

Shift your focus on the Prince of Peace and embrace the gift of Peace He offers.

There are so many factors fighting against this peace that Jesus Christ has freely given to us and it is our responsibility to remain focused on Him.

At about four o’clock in the morning, Jesus came to them, walking on the waves! When the disciples saw him walking on top of the water, they were terrified and screamed, “A ghost!” Then Jesus said, “Be brave and don’t be afraid. I am here!” Peter shouted out, “Lord, if it’s really you, then have me join you on the water!” “Come and join me,” Jesus replied. So Peter stepped out onto the water and began to walk toward Jesus. But when he realized how high the waves were, he became frightened and started to sink. “Save me, Lord!” he cried out.

[Matthew 14:25 – 30 TPT]

Immediately Peter got distracted and moved his focus from Jesus, he began to sink. When his focus was on Jesus he experienced peace and he was unperturbed about his environment, the wind or the storm.

The absence of Peace is the presence of fear, and guess what? Fear will sink you!

Do not focus on the wind. Do not focus on the storm either… They are just distractions. Fix your mind on what truly matters, which is the gift of Peace that has been freely given to you.

Finally, keep your thoughts continually fixed on all that is authentic and real, honourable and admirable, beautiful and respectful, pure and holy, merciful and kind… Christ is the embodiment of all of these virtues.

Thank You Holy Spirit for a wonderful session, thank You for the Peace that begins to overwhelm us and we no longer give in to worry and anxiety. Thank You for total healing in Jesus’ name. Yes, and Amen!
