TOPIC: THE WILL OF GOD
Father, we thank You for clarity of purpose. Thank You for we are blessed with seeing eyes, hearing ears, and perceiving minds in Jesus’ name. Amen. Tonight we are looking into THE WILL OF GOD. This is particularly important because if we are truly going to enjoy all that God has planned for us, then we must be found doing His will.
Many times we struggle because we are not where God wants us to be or even if we are where He wants us to be, we are not doing what He wants us to do.
For example, in the beginning, God made mankind, male and female but these days certain persons are trying to be what they are not.
It has gotten so bad, that in a bid to “transgender,” some have had their bodies rendered useless, and in extreme cases, some have lost their lives.
The point is security, the fullness of life, blessings, etc are found in God’s will.
The totality of man’s existence is summed up in a prophetic word given about Jesus Christ, which was first written by David and then quoted by the Apostle Paul in the book of Hebrews:
[Hebrews 10:7 NKJV]
Then I said, ‘Behold, I have come— In the volume of the book it is written of Me— To do Your will, O God.’ ”
[Hebrews 10:7 NLT]
Then I said, ‘Look, I have come to do your will, O God—
as is written about me in the Scriptures.
Also, going back to the genesis of mankind, we see the same thing being said, Man was created to fulfill God’s will of having rulership and dominion over all the earth:
[Genesis 1:26 NKJV]
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.”
[Genesis 1:26 NLT]
Then God said, “Let us make human beings in our image, to be like us. They will reign over the fish in the sea, the birds in the sky, the livestock, all the wild animals on the earth, and the small animals that scurry along the ground.
ALL of creation, whether invisible or visible exists to do God’s will.
I can tell you for a fact, man was created to establish [bring into manifestation, fulfill, to demonstrate] God’s will. So when Jesus prayed “Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven”, He was simply saying the eyes and hearts of men be open to see God’s will and fulfill it by the power of the Holy Spirit. It will shock some of us to know that God has a will for even the wicked to fulfill.
So then what is God’s will?
Usually when God wants to do something He first SPEAKS, and then the Spirit works in men and upon men to bring to pass the word of the Lord (Isaiah 55:11).

It is the same with my word.
I send it out, and it always produces fruit.
It will accomplish all I want it to,
and it will prosper everywhere I send it.
Therefore God’s will is His word that is backed up by the Holy Spirit.
Anyone that will constantly see God’s power made manifest in their lives must be willing and ready to do God’s will. The Psalmist said. “delight in the Lord…….” because true satisfaction comes from doing the will of God, nothing else can truly give satisfaction.
Unfortunately in the world today, many have gotten so used to doing their own will and they expect God to support their will. No! It doesn’t work that way.
God doesn’t exist to do our will! We are the ones that exist to do HIS WILL.
There is such a thing as a GENERAL will of God and a SPECIFIC will of God.
The general will of God is something that He has given to ALL men e.g. Salvation is for ALL men, the gift of the Holy Spirit is for ALL who believe, working of miracles is for ALL who believe, likewise raising the dead.
The specific will of God has to do with an assignment unique to an individual for the purpose of fulfilling the general will of bringing salvation to all men..e.g not every believer is called to start a church or ministry, likewise not every believer will be a career person or entrepreneur.
But the thing is, in finding the specific will of God for our lives, we should have been involved in doing the general will.
If you’ve not been found doing that which pertains to ALL men, why should God reveal that which is unique to you? See this:

And if you have not been faithful in what is another man’s, who will give you what is your own?
[Luke 16:12 NLT]
And if you are not faithful with other people’s things, why should you be trusted with things of your own?
God is more willing to let His will be known to us in every single area of our lives. I understand the place of common reasoning and all, but please I’m pleading with us, let us learn to involve God in ALL things, and get used to asking God, what He wants.
In establishing God’s will, prayer is a very critical factor! In the place of prayer, we declare the word of God in understanding and in the spirit. As we do so, divine orchestrations begin to take place.
Angels and ministering spirits are released, the hearts of men are worked upon to do the Lord’s bidding concerning you, and you also are being empowered to establish God’s will.
If one is not prayerful, one can labor in vain o! In prayer, clarity is given! The eyes of our understanding are open to the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding!
So you must pray!! Pray until the word of God is your reality! Pray until the will of God is established!!!
You will do God’s will! You will establish heaven on earth as He desires! All the resources you need by the power of the Holy Spirit, begin to come to you right now in the name of Jesus!
Please, pray more concerning the will of God for your life! Prayyy! Prayy!! You will not be weary in Jesus’ name!
