Light

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father. Thank You for yet another opportunity to feed on Your word. Bless our hearts tonight Lord and help us to be doers of Your word in Jesus Name.

Tonight, I am going to be giving a short charge on LIGHT

KJV: Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid.

KJV: Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house.

KJV: Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

[MATT 5:14-16]

As believers, we have an ordination as light-bearers, as custodians of light and this light is to shine where ever we find ourselves.

The scripture says that “A city set on a hill cannot be hid”. Meaning that when you carry the true light it cannot be snuffed out. It must surface regardless of where you find yourself.

Do we all remember the story of Joseph? Although he was in a foreign land, he was still singled out for greatness because of the light he carried.

The same can be said for Daniel in the bible. The Babylonians tried to kill Daniel’s light by trying to even kill him but “A city set on a hill cannot be hid”

Now, as believers, we ought to let that light shine.

But how?

It is important to note that light is gotten from two main sources:

  1. Through prayer:

The bible records in Luke 9:28-29 that as Jesus was praying on the Mount of Transfiguration, His countenance changed and He lighted up. You see, prayer is a channel through which God pours His light into us. When we pray we interface with divinity and the result is seen in our everyday lives. Moses had fellowship with God on Mount Sinai for 40 days and when he returned he did not know that his face was shining because the Glory of God had rubbed off on him.

  1. Light flows into our lives through the word:

KJV: The entrance of thy words giveth light; it giveth understanding unto the simple.

[Psalm 119:130]

It does not get any simpler than this. The more you stay on the word, the more it lights up your life.

The word addresses any issue you might be facing.

God’s word is so powerful that Jesus Himself said that man is to survive by this word.

“Man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God”

[Matt 4:4]

The word brings light that comes with pinpoint accuracy.

Now, when we as believers carry this light we, in turn, can light up our world.

When one man carries light for a territory, then liberation has come to such a place.

KJV: The land of Zabulon, and the land of Nephthalim, by the way of the sea, beyond Jordan, Galilee of the Gentiles;

KJV: The people which sat in darkness saw great light, and to them which sat in the region and shadow of death light is sprung up.

[Matt 4:15-16]

The Holy Spirit taught me that unless light comes then liberation and transformation cannot occur.

We shall look through two scriptures then I will be done.

KJV: Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee.

KJV: For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.

KJV: And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising.

[Isaiah 60:1-3]

For you to arise and shine, it suggests that light has come.

Scriptures say that gentiles shall come to your light.

KJV: And God said, Let there be light: and there was light.

KJV: And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

[Genesis 1:3-4]

Creation began when there was light. Transformation begins at the appearance of light.

God saw that it was good.

The cure for the darkness that ravages this generation are men that God has lighted up to be His light-bearers in these end times.

Men who carry light for nations.

Men who carry light to their workplace.

Men who carry light to their schools.

Because at the first appearance of light, darkness disappears.

Kjv: And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.

[John 1:5]

Remember that nothing and no one can extinguish the light of God in you. So, let your light shine that men can glorify your heavenly Father.

So, I charge us all to let the light of God in us shine so we can dispel the darkness in our generation.

This 2022 the instruction is simple, SHINE FOR YOU ARE THE LIGHT OF THE WORLD!

God bless us all.

Thank You, Lord, for Your word. May we run with this word and may our lives shine for the world to see Your Glory, Lord. Thank You, Father. In Jesus Name. Amen.
