THE SUPERNATURAL: The Healing Aspect Part 1

Heavenly Father we thank You for all You are to us and all You have called us to be.

As this teaching goes on today, I ask that the mind of your children be open enough to receive that which you speak. May their spirits be receptive and may your light pass through them all. Amen!

Today we will learn about THE SUPERNATURAL: The Healing Aspect.

 

Hallelujah!

 

Since after the fall of man, Adam and Eve, we have seen and come to know bad and good and all things that exist are either on the wrong side or on the good side.

 

We see examples of Cain and Abel, we know who represented evil and who represented good.

 

We see examples of Jacob and Esau.

 

We see examples of the fallen angels and all the many wicked acts they committed upon the earth and we saw many angels of the Lord coming to speak on behalf of God and acting righteously.

 

We saw Jesus and the Pharisees.

 

And many examples of both good and bad in the Scriptures…

 

Let’s limit this topic to health.

 

With that one disobedience of Adam and Eve came the entrance of diseases, afflictions, sicknesses, and many abnormalities into the world/earth and also our reality today, etc.

 

In the beginning, it was not so.

 

When man was in the garden of Eden, he knew no sicknesses nor afflictions.

 

His disobedience brought about it.

 

After his disobedience came the second Adam (Jesus Christ) who came to re-install us to the former state where Adam was.

 

This is done or achieved by believing in Him, the second Adam.

 

For it is written:

John 3:15-16

[15]so that everyone who believes in him will have eternal life.

[16]“For this is how God loved the world: He gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.

This eternal life that is talked about is the re-installing of the former glory of man.

 

And once one is installed, he is free from every sickness or affliction of the devil.

 

But you may ask yourselves, why do people (believers, Christians, or born again) still fall sick today???

 

These may be the reasons:

 

1. They really do not understand what or whom they have come to believe in.

 

2. They really do not understand the finished work of Christ on the cross.

 

3. They do not believe in the supernatural or supernatural healing.

 

4. They do not have the right knowledge or are religious.

 

5. Their minds are not renewed daily.

 

Let’s not forget that our Christianity is a Walk/Journey,

 

The more we walk, the more we know and the more we grow.

 

We should never stop fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit, with the brethren, reading the scriptures daily, having Christ-like conversations, or even reading Christian content no matter what.

 

These help us grow and understand who we are called to be.

 

They also help us walk in the light always and at all times.

 

Trust me, when the light comes, darkness flees and sickness is one of those darknesses.

 

The Eden garden which was given to Adam in the beginning, which we are re-installed to by the second Adam at some point is full of that light and this is why Adam never got sick or old in that garden.

 

Therefore if you belong to that garden and understand why you belong and how it operates,  you can never be sick in your life!

 

How do we deal with sicknesses in our lives forever as believers???

 

1. Understand the finished work of God on the cross. Salvation comes with complete healing and forever.

It is written:

Isaiah 53:3-5

[3]He was despised and rejected—

    a man of sorrows, acquainted with deepest grief.

We turned our backs on him and looked the other way.

    He was despised, and we did not care.

[4]Yet it was our weaknesses he carried;

    it was our sorrows that weighed him down.

And we thought his troubles were a punishment from God,

    a punishment for his own sins!

[5]But he was pierced for our rebellion,

    crushed for our sins.

He was beaten so we could be whole.

    He was whipped so we could be healed.

2. Read the Scriptures daily.

I will give an example of a sister that shared her testimony here, I would have given an example of myself but so you know and understand that this works for every other believer who has tried it, I’ll remind you of her testimony.

@Nehita Was a very sickly person before she came to PFMI. Yes!  She was and is a Christian but it was normal for her to fall sick monthly.

It was a usual thing for her since she is AA, malaria was her friend and she took medicines frequently.

She was like that until she joined PFMI in October 2021 and came to my inbox with her prayer requests, with her health being one of the requests.

I encouraged her to be consistent on PFMI morning fellowships as we read the Bible daily.

Since that day up till now, she has not taken medicine or had malaria or fallen sick.

And it’s been a year and two months since she first joined us.

She has been made completely well.

Not even headaches or runny nose.

This is a pure example of how the daily reading of the Word of God keeps you in good health forever

 

3. Believe in the supernatural and also in supernatural healing.

It is written:

1 Corinthians 2:4-5

[4]And my message and my preaching were very plain. Rather than using clever and persuasive speeches, I relied only on the power of the Holy Spirit.

[5]I did this so you would trust not in human wisdom but in the power of God.

Yes!  We carry power too!

 

Not just words and lots of jargon! The gospel carries the POWER of the Holy Spirit which resides inside of you.

 

We don’t talk too much, we act.

 

When you as a believer fall sick, you have the supernatural power of healing yourself!

 

When you received salvation, the Holy Spirit came with it and the power of that Spirit came with Him to reside inside of you.

 

That power is supernatural and all you have to do is act with it.

 

Ephesians 4:30

[30] And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.

Remember, it is the Holy Spirit that guarantees our salvation, therefore if you are saved,  you definitely have Him and if you have Him, you definitely have His power.

 

How Do You Heal The Sick?

 

1. By laying on of hands: Anyone who believes in Jesus and the supernatural healing can heal the sick or heal himself of sickness.

Mark 16:16-18

[16] Anyone who believes and is baptized will be saved. But anyone who refuses to believe will be condemned.

[17] These miraculous signs will accompany those who believe: They will cast out demons in my name, and they will speak in new languages.

[18] They will be able to handle snakes with safety, and if they drink anything poisonous, it won’t hurt them. They will be able to place their hands on the sick, and they will be healed.”

 

2. By the prayer of faith. It is written:

James 5:13-15

[13] Are any of you suffering hardships? You should pray. Are any of you happy? You should sing praises.

[14] Are any of you sick? You should call for the elders of the church to come and pray over you, anointing you with oil in the name of the Lord.

[15] Such a prayer offered in faith will heal the sick, and the Lord will make you well. And if you have committed any sins, you will be forgiven.

Notice verses 13 and 15 emphasize that it is the prayer of faith that heals the sick.

 

3. By commands, Decrees, and Declarations.

There are sicknesses that are caused by demons and may not be natural, how do you know this? By perceiving or testing spirits AND ALSO JUST ASKING THE HOLY SPIRIT.

 

You make decrees and command that devil to leave that body and it obeys because of the power of the Holy Spirit at work in you.

 

Just like in Mark 9:25.

 

Jesus commanded the deaf and dumb spirit in the sick boy to leave. His parents thought they were dealing with natural sickness until he was brought to Jesus.

Heavenly Father, I thank you for opening our hearts to learn, may we practice as we have been taught, so that we may dispense your glory more and more upon the earth.

Thank you for always answering us when we call!
