The Voice of the Lord

MINISTERING: OLUWATOBILOBA THOMPSON

DATE: 19TH JUNE 2023

TOPIC: THE VOICE OF THE LORD

Father we thank You for tonight, I declare we have seeing eyes, hearing eyes, and perceiving minds by the power of the Holy Spirit. Thank You, Lord, in Jesus’ name. Amen

This evening we won’t be doing too much discourse yet we will be doing so much.  As we prepare for the Prayer Fast coming up, it’s important that our spirits and minds are in accordance with that which God will have us do.

For the better part of today, I had no idea of what to teach but by the time I got home and got some good sleep….I woke up with an inspiration.

Brothers and Sisters, e get why David talk say God dey give Him beloved sleep. In other words, try dey sleep o😂

Anyway, I woke up with a phrase in my spirit “THE VOICE OF THE LORD” and by the understanding of the Spirit, I knew the Scripture He was leading us to.

So tonight, I won’t do a lot of explanations but I’ll be posting different translations of the Scripture for us to meditate on. I believe very strongly the voice of the Lord will be amplified in the hearts of many during this prayer fast.

[Psalms 29:1 – 2 NKJV]

Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness.

At the beginning of this Psalm, under the influence of the Spirit, David was giving instructions to the angels in heaven.. he exhorted them to “give unto the Lord glory and strength” and “to worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness”

This same instruction given to angels is now also given to us by the Spirit because, in Christ, we have now become mighty ones of the Lord.

Please from today, don’t ever open your mouth and tell yourself “Let the weak say I am strong”, or “Let the poor say I am rich”…

In Zion, there are no weak ones!!!! No one is weak in Zion!!! There are no poor ones in Zion! The fullness of heaven and earth is available to us!

[Psalms 84:7 NKJV]
They go from strength to strength; Each one appears before God in Zion.

[Psalms 36:8 NKJV]

They are abundantly satisfied with the fullness of Your house, And You give them drink from the river of Your pleasures.

After giving the instruction to glorify, worship, exalt, praise, magnify, hallow the name of the Lord, and give what duly BELONGS TO HIM, suddenly, David heard the voice of the Lord and he began to describe the power of the Lord’s voice.

Now here’s the instruction for you:

Meditate on Psalm 29 till the day of the Prayer Fast. Read it, think upon it, and let it become your consciousness.

You’ll hear the voice of the Lord and you’ll see the impact of the Lord’s voice in whatever situation you’re in by the power of the Holy Spirit.

Thank You, Lord Jesus! Thank You, Lord!

I’ll post some translations tonight, to begin with.

[Psalms 29:1 – 11 NLT]

Honor the Lord, you heavenly beings; honor the Lord for his glory and strength. Honor the Lord for the glory of his name. Worship the Lord in the splendor of his holiness. The voice of the Lord echoes above the sea. The God of glory thunders. The Lord thunders over the mighty sea. The voice of the Lord is powerful; the voice of the Lord is majestic. The voice of the Lord splits the mighty cedars; the Lord shatters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes Lebanon’s mountains skip like a calf; he makes Mount Hermon leap like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord strikes with bolts of lightning. The voice of the Lord makes the barren wilderness quake; the Lord shakes the wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord twists mighty oaks and strips the forests bare. In his Temple everyone shouts, “Glory!” The Lord rules over the floodwaters. The Lord reigns as king forever. The Lord gives his people strength. The Lord blesses them with peace.

[Psalms 29:1 – 11 TPT]

Proclaim his majesty, all you mighty sons of Yahweh, giving all the glory and strength back to him! Be in awe before his majesty. Be in awe before such power and might! Come worship wonderful Yahweh, arrayed in all his splendor, bowing in worship as he appears in the beauty of holiness. Give him the honor due his name.

Worship him wearing the glory-garments of your holy, priestly calling! The voice of the Lord echoes through the skies and seas. The Glory-God reigns as he thunders in the clouds. So powerful is his voice, so brilliant and bright— how majestic as he thunders over the great waters! His tympanic thunder topples the strongest of trees. His symphonic sound splinters the mighty forests. Now he moves Zion’s mountains by the might of his voice, shaking the snowy peaks with his earsplitting sound! The lightning-fire flashes, striking as he speaks. God reveals himself when he makes the fault lines quake, shaking deserts, speaking his voice. God’s mighty voice makes the deer to give birth. His thunderbolt-voice lays the forest bare. In his temple all fall before him with each one shouting, “Glory, glory, the God of glory!” Above the furious flood, the Enthroned One reigns, the King-God rules with eternity at his side. This is the one who gives his strength and might to his people. This is the Lord giving us his kiss of peace.

[Psalm 29:1 – 11 GNT]

Praise the Lord, you heavenly beings; praise his glory and power. Praise the Lord’s glorious name; bow down before the Holy One when he appears. The voice of the Lord is heard on the seas; the glorious God thunders, and his voice echoes over the ocean. The voice of the Lord is heard in all its might and majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, even the cedars of Lebanon. He makes the mountains of Lebanon jump like calves and makes Mount Hermon leap like a young bull. The voice of the Lord makes the lightning flash. His voice makes the desert shake; he shakes the desert of Kadesh. The Lord’s voice shakes the oaks and strips the leaves from the trees while everyone in his Temple shouts, “Glory to God!” The Lord rules over the deep waters; he rules as king forever. The Lord gives strength to his people and blesses them with peace.

[Psalms 29:1 – 11 NKJV]

Give unto the Lord, O you mighty ones, Give unto the Lord glory and strength. Give unto the Lord the glory due to His name; Worship the Lord in the beauty of holiness. The voice of the Lord is over the waters; The God of glory thunders; The Lord is over many waters. The voice of the Lord is powerful; The voice of the Lord is full of majesty. The voice of the Lord breaks the cedars, Yes, the Lord splinters the cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also skip like a calf, Lebanon and Sirion like a young wild ox. The voice of the Lord divides the flames of fire. The voice of the Lord shakes the wilderness; The Lord shakes the Wilderness of Kadesh. The voice of the Lord makes the deer give birth, And strips the forests bare; And in His temple everyone says, “Glory!” The Lord sat enthroned at the Flood, And the Lord sits as King forever. The Lord will give strength to His people; The Lord will bless His people with peace.

I pray for you that as you begin to think and contemplate upon the word of God, angelic manifestations are heightened around you. Unusual miracles find expression in your life, even from now in the name of Jesus!!!
