WHAT TO DO WITH DISAPPOINTMENTS

Let us pray.

Heavenly Father. We ask for light to come from your word today lord and let that light illuminate our hearts in Jesus Name. Amen

While I was pondering over what to teach, this topic dropped in my heart.

You see, this is a new year and truthfully, we all have expectations. But what happens when things don’t turn out the way we desire them to?

Let me let you all in on a Truth in God’s kingdom realm which we are in.

In God’s eyes, there is no such thing as a disappointment 😁😁â˜ș

So, His plan for us His children are perfect and without fault.

Let us provide scriptural backing.

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

[Romans 8:28 KJV]

 

28 And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose.

[Romans 8:28 NIV]

The scripture did not say, “somethings”.

It said, “all things”!

Your confession should always draw life from this scripture.

You see, what you call disappointment right now is just a platform for God to express His Glory in your life.

God is a master DIRECTOR & PRODUCER and we are all acting out His script. Guess what, everything was already in your favour before you stepped into this world.

3 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us in the heavenly realms with every spiritual blessing in Christ.

4 For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love

5 he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—

6 to the praise of his glorious grace, which he has freely given us in the One he loves.

7 In him we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of God’s grace

8 that he lavished on us. With all wisdom and understanding,

Scriptures say that God chose us in Him before even the foundation of the world. Kai! That should stir up something in your spirit!

See how God set things in order before He brought us into this world!

God did not bring us into His kingdom to begin to wander about and do trial and error or strife in our strength (which by the way, is weak before Him). Instead, He sent Jesus to do everything for us, so that we would live the victorious life.

11 For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.

[Jeremiah 29:11 NIV]

God is not scared to declare His plan for you. He is bold to say that He will prosper you and not just in finances alone, but in every area, you desire.

As a child of God, you have been set up for GOOD SUCCESS!

God does not derive pleasure in your suffering or disappointment.

Instead, He has called you His own. You are God’s choicest child.

God loves you with a love that is eternal. A love that is stronger than any and every force in Heaven and on Earth.

When you go through the New Testament, you will see so many promises and blessing that is given for you.

It gives you a reason to always be in a thanksgiving mode.

 

You see, the issue is staying in the word of God to access His promises. God’s word is what we ought to live by, His word ought to be the basis of our confessions. Don’t go and be releasing negative words like, “I no even understand this year”.

Some people even say, “make this year do finish” as if the next year will be better off for such.

Confess and meditate on the word until it becomes a reality in your life.

19 And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

[Philippians 4:13 NIV]

 

20 Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us

[Ephesians 3:20 NIV]

You see, I understand that truly at times, it is hard not to be downcast by certain events in life and this is because we as humans are limited to just the present, unlike God who is omnipresent.

So, in such a difficult time, as hard as it may be, try to find solace and comfort in His word.

Be like King David;

And David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the Lord his God.

[1 Samuel 30:6 KJV]

Encourage yourself in the Lord.

You see, if you read through the following verses, you will realise that it was after David had encouraged himself in the Lord that he had the wisdom to now ask for direction on what to do.

He asked God if he should go after the enemy and reclaim his possession and God told him to do that and just like that things turned around for him!

See eh, at times this so-called disappointment is just a distraction by the enemy to hinder you from seeing and accessing that which is meant for you.

So, Bishop T.D Jakes once said in the sermon, “MY BATTLE IS MY BREAD”, that whenever he sees problems surmounting, he begins to rejoice because he knows that something good is not far off.

As believers whenever there is any form of disappointment, have this mindset, that God is about to be glorified from this problem and I, in turn, will be lifted.

I have good news, for you, it is victory all the way!

God is so full of mercy. When you turn to Him He cannot reject you. No, never!

If you know the depth of his love for you, you will truly be humbled. His love for us is so deep, wide and great that Apostle Paul said, pray that you will have a revelation of it. Kai!!!

18 And may you have the power to understand, as all God’s people should, how wide, how long, how high, and how deep his love is.19 May you experience the love of Christ, though it is too great to understand fully. Then you will be made complete with all the fullness of life and power that comes from God.

[Ephesians 3:18-19 NIV]

Kai! See this marvellous Light!!!

See, remove every fear from your heart, my brothers and sisters. Continue trusting God and his word that is able to build you and give you your inheritance. And remember that this is your year of GREATER GLORY!

Question:

“Does this mean that a believer can never be at a disadvantage?” 

Answer:

“Truly, I have realised that a believer can never be at a disadvantage. Why it may look so is that it may last for a while, but this covenant has settled it all.

Also, when you as a believer is not aware of what is yours in Christ, you will struggle as well. So, it then looks like the odds are not in your favour.

Sis Princess’ Contribution:

That is true, one ought to take charge always and be in control to let things always be at your advantage.

Else, you will experience a reality that isn’t of Christ.

How do you do this?

  1. By making declarations.
  2. By following the leading of the Holy Spirit at all times.
  3. By faith.
  4. By taking up responsibilities/actions when the need arises.
  5. Always have good motives or intentions.

 

As for those who are not believers yet:

  1. Give your life to Christ.
  2. Be baptized in the Holy Ghost.
  3. Learn to walk with the Holy Spirit by mostly reading the scriptures and listening to sound teachings.

None believers must do these 3 before they follow the 5 up there, I’ll like to add that without faith or believing, most believers’ lives will be at a disadvantage.

About Faith

Faith and belief help our minds make things happen or not.

If you believe or have the faith that you can never be at a disadvantage,

It will be so!

 

About Declarations

Your words are powerful, we all know this, God made the whole world with words.

We are gods, made after the Almighty and with His nature therefore, our words are as powerful as His.

We make or create our own world with the words of our mouths, as we make declarations it remains so.

Our declarations are laws!

 

About Following Instructions

Let us also know that disobedience to the Holy Spirit puts you at a disadvantage.

He is the only one that knows the end from the beginning; you have nothing to lose by following the one who knows where it will all end.

Make una follow who know road o!  😂😄

 

About Intentions

Motives are important, the Holy Spirit does not joke with human intentions.

Humans can look on the outside but the Holy Spirit looks on the inside.

So, He knows your intentions always.

Make sure your motives or intentions are always good as a Christian, for you to walk in dominion mandate and never be at a disadvantage.

No dey use your authority do evil things, e fit work but your life span go short.

The Holy Spirit will not watch you using His power with bad intensions.

 

About Taking Actions

Finally, you don’t just sit and wait on the Holy Spirit to do stuff for you.

You have to take responsibility for most/all things.

 

Example: they say a closed mouth is a closed destiny! oh well? Do you want a job?

 

Have you talked to the Holy Spirit and He’s been quiet?

My dear, Try this, make declarations on the type of job you want for some days, lets say three days

On the third day, bath, dress well, go to the company that offers the  kind of job you want, meet Human Resource Team and tell them anything that comes to mind.

The Holy Spirit will definitely sort you out at that point of talking to the HR.

That’s how to change your situation and not be disadvantaged. You do not just sit at home doing nothing, waiting for a job to fall from heaven.

At this point you need to take action!
